Bosnia and Herzegovina vs France betting preview

France are yet to hit their best form in the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, but they’re currently sitting at the top of Group D. Les Bleus made a poor start to the qualifying campaign when they drew against Ukraine, however, they returned to winning ways in their next name by defeating Kazakhstan.

A first-half goal from Ousmane Dembele and an own goal by Ukraine’s Sergiy Maliy helped France to a 2-0 win away from home. Didier Deschamps’ side will be playing again on Wednesday, where an away clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina awaits.

Bosnia’s form in the qualifiers has been porous and the southern European nation is still chasing their first win of the campaign after drawing in their opening group game.

The Dragons were held to a 2-2 draw by Finland before also drawing goalless with Costa Rice in an international friendly last Friday. Bosnia will, therefore, be chasing their first win of the campaign when they face France on Wednesday.

Having played a game less, the Balkan nation is three points behind France. However, they boast a talented squad that is capable of beating any side on a good day. Edin Dzeko, Miralem Pjanic and Miroslav Stevanovic are world-class players who have the ability to singlehandedly affect matches.

But they will need to be at their best to defeat France. Aside from Anthony Martial who is an injury doubt, everyone else in Les Bleus’ camp is fit to play.

Paul Pogba also recently returned from injury but lasted an hour against Kazakhstan and is expected to start against Bosnia, too. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann are also expected to maintain their places in the starting XI.

France are favourites for the clash and are priced by Betika at 1.40 to win, while Bosnia is priced at 9.00 to triumph. The bookmaker prices the game at 4.75 to end in a draw.

England vs Poland betting preview

England’s quest to qualify for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup has begun on a very good note following back to back wins in Group I. The Three Lions sit at the top of the group with six points after wins over San Marino and Albania.

These are countries that England were expected to beat without batting an eye, but Gareth Southgate’s side is set to face tougher opposition on Wednesday when Poland come to town.

The Three Lions have so far scored seven goals in their two World Cup qualifying games and conceded none, however, their defence will definitely be tested by the Polish.

Led by the clinical Robert Lewandowski, Poland have also been impressive in the qualifiers thus far. The Eagles played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Hungary in their opening group game before thrashing Andorra 3-0 on Sunday.

Suffice to say that Lewandowski has carried his club form into the international break, having scored in both games. The Bayern Munich star was on the score sheet when Poland drew with Hungary and also netted twice against Andorra.

Lewandowski’s strike partner Krzysztof Piatek is also in a rich vein of form, having scored against both Hungary and Andorra as well. So, Poland will not be lacking in attacking firepower to hurt England.

However, the Three Lions equally have a formidable squad. Harry Kane, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Phil Foden returned to the starting line-up for the game against Albania and are all expected to start against Poland on Wednesday.

As cagey as this game is expected to be, the bookmakers tip England as strong favourites. Southgate’s side is priced at 1.34 by Betika to win, while Poland is priced at a whopping 9.50 to upset the hosts.

Meanwhile, Betika has an odd of 5.20 for punters who bet on the match to end in a draw.
