Ghana has produced some exciting national team squads and it is the only African country to make it to the Quarter Finals of the World Cup where they nearly qualified for the Semi Finals had it not been of the infamous incident involving Luis Suarez. The reason why Ghana performs so well in various tournaments is because the country is blessed with so much talent and the host of the Ghanaian players are plying their trade in Europe, It is also important not to undermine the role of the Ghana Premier League in the development of soccer in Ghana because this is the platform where players showcase what they can do.
What is the Ghana Premier League?

The Ghana Premier League is revered in Africa and from the period between 2001-2010, this popular league was ranked as the 11th best league in Africa and this is by no means an easy feat, but it is a true testament of how well the league has been run.
