Prague – Beer Moose in Oslo (Los v Oslu)

The unusual restaurant "Los v oslu" is a Prague geographical and culinary mystery.
Located on a narrow street near Jiri iz Podebrad Square in the modern Vinohrady & Vr district?ovice. 200 years ago there were vineyards here, now there are shady parks, vintage and brand shops, bohemian bars. The walk along which is pleasant to end with a gastronomic journey.

Stepping over the threshold, you find yourself in the semi-darkness of a cozy authentic pub in Antwerp or Brussels. The interior is stylized to resemble the deck of a ship, with decorative masts and sails, substantial solid wood tables, wide benches and sofas, and paintings on a marine theme.

From Norway, there is only the name and the moose itself (the elk on the sign, in the comics on the menu pages, receipts and in the image of the symbol of the institution, a huge head with branched horns on the wall), which, having probably tasted local dishes, never reached Scandinavia, deciding to stay in Prague.

"Smoking" is allowed in the upper "Czech" hall (designed for 42 guests) (the hood works well and there are no "clouds of smoke"), everything is at the classic decent level of the capital of the brewing state: 6 varieties are offered (merlin, lobkowicz, kvazar, chlumecky) (at a price of 24-29 CZK per 0.3liters)

Lower, in the basement, "Belgicky Pivni club";(50 seats), non-smoking. The history of beer in Belgium dates back more than five hundred years, and six hundred types of beer are still produced in this small country. A great opportunity to compare two cultures (moving from one floor to another) and choose a favorite or just savor and taste.

The service is original (every drinking establishment in the Czech Republic tries to outdo the others in this): they bring foam in glasses, glasses, glass flasks with wooden tripods. (The latter is the business card of the restaurant)

Belgian is not a cheap treat (the average cost is 80-90 per bottle, 0.33 or 33-84 per mug)

Among the draught it is worth a try:

- Casteel rouge - cherry red, (infused for six months);
- Kwak- amber, with a soft foam and aftertaste of brandy and raisins;
- Hoegaarden witbier - wheat wine with hints of coriander and orange.

Bottled drinks are preferred by visitors:

- Duchesse de Bourgogne (female version – pomegranate and chocolate, brewed since the 16th century according to ancient Flemish recipes);
- Pira- hop bitterness, perfectly in harmony with cigars;
- Floreffe prima melior – dark thick aniseed ale, combined with parmesan cheese;
- Barbar- barley malt and honey, made with water from artesian wells;
- A variety of refreshing fruit flavors on a hot day: apple (Newton Apple), raspberry (Frambozen), Pink killer (pink killer grapefruit) and even Banana (Kenyan banana) and Mongozo Coconut (coconut - can serve as an independent dessert, served in a nutshell).
-Kasteel bruin- strong: dried fruits and port wine flavor (suitable for finishing a meal)

Aesthetes who respect the traditions of Trappist abbey brewing (originating from the ancient monasteries of this Catholic order) will appreciate the aromatic Achel, Westmalle, La Trappe, which were produced using repeated fermentation.

While enjoying the tasting, it is possible and necessary (otherwise the libation process will be very short) to have a delicious and satisfying snack or dinner. In addition to traditional appetizers (cheese balls, prunes in bacon), pork ribs, homemade goulash, fresh mussels with wine or garlic cream sauce, salmon tartare, medallions, venison caramelized with pearl onions, rich minestrone, pancakes with fillings, ice cream and much more are wonderfully prepared here.

There is an analogue of a "business lunch" (the soup of the day, for example, is 2 times cheaper than the branded one). The waiters do not speak Russian, but they understand most of the words.
